Today has definitely been weird. My dad’s brother, which would be my uncle, passed away. I never met him before… and my father hasn’t seen him in almost 30 years. He lived in Cambodia. I’ve never seen my dad cry before… and I wish he knew that it’s okay to cry. Maybe there’s more to my dad than I’ll ever know… he hasn’t talked about it...
Before you complain and cry about how hard life is, think about the people who wish they had all the privileges you’ve had. It may suck to not have what you want, but you have to learn to appreciate the things you have - because that’s all you really need.
